Do you want to level up your love for Juneau’s trails? Join the Trail Stewards program! The Juneau Trail Stewards program is a way for organizations and individuals to dive into trail work and spend the summer improving one trail. Trail Stewards complete one workday a month throughout the trail season. If you’d like more information about this program, click here.
We facilitate many service days with youth groups, church groups, large businesses, and any one else that can bring together up to fifteen willing hands that want to work on the trails.
Fill out our volunteer form linked below to get started on the process of volunteering. If you have any questions you can also reach out to [email protected].
Due to COVID-19, Trail Mix will not be hosting open call volunteer days for the time being. We hope to bring them back as soon as possible. However, if you have a group that would like to volunteer, please reach out! Volunteers are crucial to our success at Trail Mix and we appreciate our volunteers immensely. Volunteers often help with re-vegetation, raking, graveling, and re-treading trails. All ability levels are welcome.
Typically, volunteers help on trails that crews are also working on, because those ones need the most immediate attention. However, we may be able to set up work on other trails that are important to your group if we have permission from the land manager, like the City and Borough of Juneau. If you have a trail you’re especially passionate about, let us know.
Please use this form to sign up for or request information about volunteering. After filling out the form, someone from Trail Mix will contact you to help set up your volunteer experience. Thank you for your interest in maintaining Juneau’s trails.
