Trail Mix hosts several volunteer days throughout the summer. Days typically start on the trail at 9:00am and go until 12:00pm. Volunteer tasks include hauling gravel with wheelbarrows or buckets and spreading it with shovels and rakes, brushing, re-vegetation and trash pick up. All ability levels are welcome.
Please be prepared to walk up to a mile over sometimes rough trail conditions. Bring water, snacks, gloves, and layers for working outside in Southeast Alaska. No dogs please.
Check back for updates about the schedules days for the current season. This season we plan to use a volunteer trail crew to repair trail tread on the Treadwell Ditch and other Juneau trails.
In addition to our normally scheduled volunteer days, we often facilitate service days with youth groups, church groups, large businesses, and any one else that can bring together at least fifteen willing hands that want to work on the trails.
